Join Adventure Kayaking SA at Dockside Festival, Port Adelaide for an exclusive and immersive guided kayak tour through the Port Adelaide River.
Led by qualified kayaking guides, and joined by a local Port Adelaidean with a wealth of knowledge you will embark on a 60-minute adventure, tracing the vibrant history and picturesque landscapes of Port Adelaide.
Commencing your kayak journey at the old Fisherman’s Wharf you will head west towards Hart’s Mill offering great views and insights into the area's historic significance. Paddle by the Hart Street Bridge and pass New Port and Fletchers Slip for a taste of Port Adelaide’s Maritime heritage. As you navigate eastward, the lighthouse stands as a beacon of history, guiding the way as you meander around Dock One, and possibly even as far as Clipper Ship before returning from your expedition.
Please be aware this is a free event so book now as spaces are limited!
REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum age 8 years old
- All children aged 8-15 years must be accompanied in a double kayak by an adult
- Max tour size: 8 pax
- No kayak experience necessary
- Maximum weight (2 person kayak): As we use sit in kayaks we
- generally find people 140+kgs can have trouble fitting into the kayaks. Please call us if you have any concerns.
- You will enter the kayak from a pontoon, and must be able to support yourself while lowering into the kayak. Our guides will assist holding the boat steady.

INCLEMENT WEATHER
If on the date of your booking it has been deemed unsafe to operate due to weather you will be contacted as soon as possible. Whilst we frequently check forecasts in the days leading up to your booking, there are some occasions where weather is worse than forecast resulting in last minute cancellations of sessions.
